The Catawba Ridge girls’ golf team improved to 10-0 on the season with a win over the Indian Land Warriors on Wednesday.

Catawba Ridge beat Indian Land 169-202 at Fort Mill Golf Club. Catawba Ridge was led by a 40 from Reagan Lynch. She was followed with a 41 from Brooke Mehlhouse and a 43 from Ella Rose Hill. Anjali Peddisetty finished the scoring with a 45.

They will now head to Hilton Head Island for a two-day tournament this weekend at the Moss Creek Country Club and will be playing in the Vickie Hillen Junior Golf Foundation High School Invitational.

The Copperheads have back-to-back tournaments coming up. After coming back from Hilton Head, they will play in the HVIII (Harold Varner III) High School Invitational event in Gaston, N.C. on Tuesday, Oct. 1.

Catawba Ridge has only one more Region 3-5A match when they play Fort Mill and Nation Ford at Tega Cay Golf Club on Monday, Oct. 7 to try and cap off a perfect region season.

The Nation Ford girls’ volleyball team swept Northwestern 3-0 (25-22, 25-12, 25-12) to improve to 7-0 in Region 3-5A and 26-2 overall on the season.

The Nation Ford boys’ volleyball team fell to Boiling Springs on the road 3-0 in a non-region match and dropped to 6-8 overall on the season.

The Nation Ford girls’ golf team beat Clover 215 to 238 at River Hills Country Club in Lake Wylie to improve to 5-6 on the season.

The Nation Ford girls’ tennis team beat Northwestern 6-0 playing a day early due to expected weather Thursday. The win puts Nation Ford at 5-1 in Region 3-5A and 5-2 overall on the season. Winning for Nation Ford was Ava Baldino 6-1, (retired); Ansley McDonald 6-1, 6-1; Piper Land 6-2, 6-2; Eva Mabey 6-0, 6-0; Reagan Newman 6-1, 6-0 and in doubles Claire Kaltenbach and Tejal Guntuboyina 6-1, 6-2.
