The Fort Mill boys team leads the field in their race Tuesday at the Anne Springs Close Greenway.

The Fort Mill boys’ and girls’ cross-country teams won their first home meet of the season nearly completing a perfect sweep in both races.

Fort Mill swept Nation Ford, Catawba Ridge, Indian Land, Rock Hill, and Northwestern in both the boys’ and girls’ races Tuesday at the Anne Springs Close Greenway. The Fort Mill girls swept the top five spots with a perfect score of 15. They were followed by Northwestern 70, Catawba Ridge 81, Rock Hill 124, Indian Land 130, and Nation Ford 131.

Alivia Cleveland won the girl’s race for Fort Mill with a time of 18:30. She was followed by Kaylee Rovenstine in 19:10 and Mia Zook in 19:49. Ella Demmerle finished fourth overall for the Lady Jackets in 19:49 as well and Avery Moriarty rounded out the scoring for Fort Mill in 19:57.

Catawba Ridge was led by Hailey Johnson with a 11th place finish overall in 20:41. Zadie Wilkerson was 13th overall for the Copperheads in 20:58 and Isabella Cardozo was 21st in 21:47. Alaina Kilpatrick was 32nd and Karley Johnson was 33rd in 22:50 and 22:51 respectively for Catawba Ridge.

Nation Ford was led by Haley Garcia with a 24th place finish in 22:06. Taylor Battle was 30th in 22:44 and Madison Littlehale was 47th in 24:22 for the Falcons. Madison Frazier was right behind her in 48th in 24:27 and Marleigh Ray finished the scoring for Nation Ford with a 54th place finish in 24:55.

In the boy’s race, Fort Mill took seven of the eight top spots. The Jackets had 17 points, followed by Northwestern 76, Catawba Ridge 96, Nation Ford 108, Rock Hill 120, and Indian Land 133.

Connor Demmerle won the boy’s race for Fort Mill with a time of 15:55. He was followed by two more Fort Mill runners in Isaac Campbell in second in 15:59 and Finn Leckrone in third in 16:21. Hudson Haley was fifth in 16:34 and Zack Larner was sixth in 16:42 rounding out the scoring for Fort Mill.

Leading the way for Catawba Ridge was William Kowalski in 13th in 17:33. Connor Myatt finished 25th in 18:00 and Landry MacDonald was 26th in 18:11 for the Copperheads. Cody Tanis finished 28th for Catawba Ridge in 18:13 and Jack Sivil was 30th to round out the scoring for the Copperheads in 18:16.

Nation Ford was led by Mason Haynes who finished 18th in 17:45. He was followed by Alexander Bentley in 24th in 17:59 and Aiden Moysaenko in 29th in 18:15 for the Falcons. Robert Saddler was 32nd in 18:30 for Nation Ford and Hudson Teubner rounded out the scoring in 44th in 19:41.
