Fort Mill’s Dominic Impens won two events during the Jackets meet Thursday at Clover.

CLOVER – The Fort Mill High swim team ran away with a six-team meet to remain unbeaten on the season.

Fort Mill beat Clover, Lancaster, Andrew Jackson, Buford and Catawba Ridge on Thursday, Aug. 29 at the Clover Community YMCA pool.

In the boys meet, Fort Mill beat Catawba Ridge 134-36, Andrew Jackson 140-0, Clover 124-46, Lancaster 137-10, and Buford 139-5. The Catawba Ridge boys beat Andrew Jackson 137-0, Buford 129-12, Lancaster 129-15, and loss to Clover 95-75.

In the girls meet, Fort Mill beat Clover 119-51, Andrew Jackson 140-4, Buford 140-0, Lancaster 140-4, and Catawba Ridge 130-40. The Catawba Ridge girls beat Andrew Jackson 136-8, Buford 140-0, Clover 96-74, and Lancaster 140-4.

Fort Mill won five of the six relay events with Clover winning the other one. Individual winners for Fort Mill were:

Lila Hadley – girls’ 200-yard freestyle and 100-yard butterfly

Dominic Impens – boys’ 200-yard freestyle and 100-yard freestyle

Adrian Paredes – boys’ 200-yard individual medley and 100-yard butterfly

Turner Wiand – boys’ 50-yard freestyle and 100-yard backstroke

Delaney Michael – girls’ 500-yard freestyle

Parker Hightower – boys’ 500-yard freestyle

Haruka Ono – girls’ 100-yard breaststroke

Steven Eldridge – boys’ 100-yard breaststroke

Amelia Meehan was the only swimmer that won an event for Catawba Ridge as she won the 100-yard backstroke.
